“I’ve been playing Spiderman in my bedroom since I was a kid. I grew up watching the films, all the cartoons. I was kind of obsessed with him. When I walked on set for the my first day, it was my first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it was my thousandth time playing Spiderman, so I felt like I had it in the bag.” While Peter Parker might be jetting off in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, for Tom Holland it is quite the opposite. The hotly anticipated offering from Marvel will see the British star man come home to London, albeit in the form of the friendly neighbourhood hero we all know and love, as well as a quick detour to Venice. In the first cover story for our latest issue, we chat to Tom about filming in his hometown, making the character his own, and his future directorial ambitions.
